How to Obtain Export Registration Certificate in Bangladesh | Corporate.com

An Export Registration Certificate (ERC) is mandatory for any business entity wishing to export permissible domestic goods from Bangladesh without restrictions on value and quantity. This certificate is regulated under The Export Policy Order 2015-18.

Documents Required for Issuance of ERC:

  1. Passport-sized photograph of the applicant
  2. Valid Trade License
  3. Valid Membership Certificate from a regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry or relevant Trade Associations
  4. Citizenship Certificate of the applicant
  5. Treasury Challan
  6. TIN Certificate
  7. Partnership Deed (if applicable)
  8. Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum, and Articles of Association (for companies)
  9. Financial Solvency Certificate

Procedure to Obtain ERC:

  1. The applicant needs to collect the Export Registration Certificate (ERC) Form from the CCI&E office or their official website.
  2. The completed form, along with the required supporting documents, must be submitted to the Dispatch Section of the CCI&E office.
  3. The applicant must deposit the registration fee and pass-book fee at Bangladesh Bank or Sonali Bank and obtain three copies of the Treasury Challan.
  4. The completed application and Treasury Challan should be submitted at the CCI&E office to process the issuance of the ERC.

Time Limit:

  • The estimated processing time for issuing the ERC is 4-5 working days.

Renewal of ERC:

The Export Registration Certificate must be renewed annually. The following documents are required for the renewal:

  1. Original copy of the ERC and ERC Passbook
  2. Treasury Challan (payment receipt)

The applicant needs to submit the renewal fee at Bangladesh Bank or Sonali Bank and then submit the required documents for renewal.

  • The estimated processing time for renewing the ERC is 4-5 working days.
